Services To Youth
The Eastern Area will embark on an integrated approach by creating, designing, implementing and preparing signature programs that will better align and educate our youth for the 21st Century workforce. Our students need to have better College Preparedness, Mentorship at an earlier age, Strengthened aptitude for S.T.E.M. readiness, Confidence/Self esteem to succeed and the useful technology skills/ resources. Additionally and to re- emphasize the importance of Project L.E.A.D., HBCU Initiative, and Young Achievers is the foundation for the developing the whole child. Your support and success in the execution of these programs will play a meaningful role in closing the Education gap across all borders. Bettered Prepared Students will be in a stronger position for College acceptance, which will lead them to employment opportunities.
Goal 1:
Ensure that all Services To Youth Programs are aligned with the challenges identified by the Secretary of Education (unemployment) and are inclusive to the Community in need by no later then Oct 1st. Provide the data to support the programmatic needs by December 1st 2011.
Goal 2:
To enhance all existing STY Programs that are aligned with National as well as sustaining successful execution. Provide an update to the Area on the identified programs by September 30th, 2011.
